Bought this radio as I wanted one that was compact, portable and capable of analogue reception as I am not yet sold on digital. It functions well but the stand is already broken. It would be better cased in some rubberised material that allowed it to take a minor knock esp as it is specifically designed to be portable. I almost bought the leather case but then I read that, although it looks like it can function as a stand in the photos, apparently it will not do so in reality. Frustrating.
I had a full sized DAB radio as a present for which I have had a lot of pleasure. As I wanted a portable DAB radio to take on holiday I accessed many reviews and this Pure Dab radio had all the features I wanted. I am extremely pleased with it. The volume for me is excellent and now that I have locked in all my favourite radio stations I am all set to go. It works extremely well in the Cambridge area and hope it does in North Yorkshire! I would prefer a different colour for the background screen. The yellow colour makes it a bit difficult to see the time in the middle of the night. I didn't take any stars because of this as this is a personal preference.
I've been looking for a reasonably portable DAB radio for a while and after a bit of research bought the Move. I've always been pleased with Pure products before (I have two mains-only Pure radios) and the Move has lived up to this so far. It's easy to use and the rechargeable battery has a very good life which solves the problem of DAB being so heavy on normal batteries. The sound is perfectly adequate for speech and the quality improves with earphones so I tend to use those for classical music. I'm pleased that the radio has a "lock" feature so that all the controls can be disabled - this means that you can put it in your pocket (it will easily fit in a jacket pocket, or even a trouser pocket), and not accidentally change settings while you are listening, or that you can pack it in a suitcase without worrying about it turning on. It's a very good travel companion and even doubles as an external speaker for my netbook PC as it has an aux input. It would do the same for an MP3 player, of course - I rarely use one of these though. The unit has a small stand that works well and a place to loop the supplied wristband handle. The aerial feels solid though you always need to be very careful with telescopic aerials. Reception has been excellent (I did read one review which said the reception was poor - not my experience; the reviewer must have been unlucky, I think). The FM settings work well, and there is an EQ option that optimises the sound for different types of material. The only issues I have are that the controls are a bit fiddly, and the crucial on/off button feels a bit iffy. However they have always worked so far. I thought the price was reasonable compared with other DAB radios and the Move has the quality feel I'd expect of a pricier item. I also think it looks pretty cool - like a classic 60's tranny.
Very happy with this product, have found it very handy to use around the house especially in rooms which had a poor traditional radio signal. Very handy for holidays too.
I like the Radio, but didn't realise that it only has an internal rechargeable radio. However the fully charged radio lasts quite a long time. The sound is a little bit "tinny", but it is easy to use, and I particularly like the "rocker" feature to change volumes & stations. All in all, good value.
