i have the dvd player and speakers hooked up to a 5.1 dolby digital receiver but when the movie is playing i am getting a faint radio station bleeding thru the dvd movies sound coming from my speakers.
Never have had this problem before when i would re-hook everything up after a move or whatever.
Any suggestions as to what I can do to stop the radio noise from bleeding through?

cheap receivers sometimes are not properly shielded inside their own housing……
quick way to check and see if it is interference or a defect:
check to see if the radio station you are hearing is the same radio station that the built-in tuner was set to before you switched the video/audio channel away from "tuner"
If it is the same radio station, your receiver is defective. If it is a different radio station, it is an interference issue and through trial and error, you should be able to reduce it by grounding your devices and speaker wires, video cables, etc.
This could be something as simple as a grounding issue. Make sure all your components are connected together via common ground. Is there a radio station near by?
It sounds like an interference issue. Is it clear what you are hearing or you just think it is a radio station. You also failed to mention the make and model of any of the equipment. It could be a bad cable or a whole host of issues. How are you hooking up the DVD player? Is it analog cables or digital coax or optical?
